Old Dallas High School was built over 100 years ago and was Dallas’ first public high school. After being abandoned for several decades a developer purchased it from the city of Dallas and developed it for business mix retail use.
The columns of the building were sitting on extremely unstable brick masonry and it was at risk of losing structural Integrity. Serco over excavated the basement, poured in place new pilings underneath the building, and reinforced each floor structurally. Our solution was to work closely with designers. This project was located in a very confined high-risk area and we completed it on time and safely without any incidents and without any structural problems.
